for 2 yrs ive been trying to plan this out. i soon met chaz and we had talked for a brief period about getting the ball rolling with this thing. but i think my plans are way different than everybody else's, ive only talked to chaz and ryan so far.
i told my dad today that i wanted to do this and he was disappointed and scared for me and fell silent. im in the time of my life where i either go to college or make my own path. and despite all negative feedback i receive from family and relatives about my plan, i feel like i need to do this just even to try.

basically, i just want to see if id be a good fit for this group based on some of the things id like to do before i go and live far out in nature. id like to see a couple cities, specifically in california, montana, washington, you know all that good stuff. i wanna see places and meet awesome people who might even want to join us on our journey. thats how i think a good group will be formed.
so please leave commentary ya know, maybe some suggestions?

Well, I don't think we are into the travel part... except to get where we are going. I don't know... I can't speak for anyone else, though.

It sounds like you might really benefit from a couple of other sites I belong to. There are a lot of people who will share their homes with you and welcome you right in. That site is http://www.couchsurfing.com It's a very very cool community of folks.

Another great site is http://www.digihitch.com There, everyone links up with each other and goes traveling around... usually via hitch hiking or connecting with someone on the site who is driving and wants the company.

If I wanted to travel around and meet cool people, I'd definitely hang out a lot on those sites.

Hope this helps...

Albert right? I think thats you. But anyway. My top priority is just to get out into the wild. I know me and chaz were talking about this awhile back. WE said we would go out into the wild for summer this seasson. If things get too bad like we are close to death freezing starving than we would leave and travel around in the winter months and see the sights and all that. It seems that there are 3 different groups of people in here, Seriously going into the wild never coming back, Seriously going into the wild but only for a certain amount of time, and those who are here to help. Of course you can fit in here. You just have to do what you need to and find your place where you belong. As for your dads reaction my mother had the same reaction, i have started to buy supplies, and she is still thinking its just a phase...but yeah Good luck

Hey Alesandra, welcome!

Depending on when you were planning on traveling and when you were wanting to move to the wild you could still work it out with our schedual. I know a few of us are meeting up in Washington to fly out in march, so if you were to start your traveling a little before that time and you mad the west and north west the end of your travels you could meet up with us. Asuming you had time to prepare and you got all your survival gear.
just an idea.
