I have the video but...
The only problem for us to compare what life would be like out there with how Dick Proenneke lived is that he had many supplies delivered every few months by plane. His roof was some type of plastic resin, and he had cement brought in to mortar the rock fireplace.
Still, there is valuable information in the movie. It's called, "Alone in the Wilderness" by Dick Proenneke. He was around 50 years old when he went out into Alaska's bush, only planning to stay for a few years... but ended up loving it so much that he stayed for 30. The man could widdle door hinges out of an old stump like it was nothing. Pretty impressive stuff. If any of you want the file, let me know. I still have it saved on my hard drive.

Re: wildwoodsurvival.com
Try Google videos, or metacafe. I know google videos you can watch whole lenght movies, let us know if you can get it up. Or do you have aol? if you do you can do a straight across file share, may take awhile, how big is the file?
Did you download it off the web through torrents? If so you have the org. torrent file?

Re: wildwoodsurvival.com
The files are 3.4 GB total, broken into bup and vob files. I did download it from a torrent site (probably isohunt, since I use it the most). I'll try and dig around for a free storage service or something.
