I think it would be slot easier to talk about ideas spots and other stuff on the phone and there are sites you can talk on your computer to eachother. Skype.com works great.

Dont you need a head set that connects to your computer?

I say we all just get on here at a set point in a chat room or something, organize a time, and all of us get on a priavte chat room and go from there. yes no?

Well, I know that I don't have the equipment for Skype and probably won't ever have it. Setting up a time for all of us to chat sounds like a really good idea. We need to figure out a time that works for everyone. Maybe even have a set day to do this every week. I personally don't have a computer of my own, which is why I'm rarely on, but I could make sure to be at a computer at a set time...

So how much is a head set? and what will be the day? Im available anytime after 5 during the weekdays except thursday.

I usually don't work Mon or Tues. So anytime on those days would be good, for me anyway.

For those of you who may not be aware, you can plug headphones into your mic input on your computer, and talk into the ear buds for a quick make-shift microphone. After plugging in your headphones to the mic jack on your computer, click on your speaker icon in the bottom right corner of the taskbar, and in the "options" menu at the top, click "advance options". Next, under the "microphone" option, click "advanced". Then check the "microphone boost" option.

Wah-lah. You now have a microphone!

It might be interesting to talk live with everyone. I'm not sure we'd get much more accomplished, but I'm game. Might be hard to coordinate everyone's schedules.

Well i well try the headset thing out, but can we all agree on a certain date when we can all be on here at the same time to discuss and comunicate? I wont be here from november 20th-28 so anytime around that is good for me.

The time is good for me, as long as it's on either a Mon, Tue, or Thu. All other nights (afternoon, in west coast time) I have to work late.

ya ive been haveing the same problem. and thanks for the info on the makeshift headphones realy works. just gotta kinda talk loud.

I always hoped being a DJ would turn out to be handy some day. Glad it worked for you! Did you check the "Mic boost" option under advanced settings? And turning up the volume slider for the mic is necessary too, but that's pretty obvious.

well i did the slider but couldn't find mic boost..
but it still works pretty good.

First, double-click the speaker icon down in the bottom right corner and see all the sliders. Then in that window in the upper left corner, click on "options", then click "Advanced Controls".

After that, you'll then see there is a new box under the Microphone slider that says, "advanced". Click on it and the "Mic Boost" option will be in the window that pops up.
